Armed with
high-quality dark rock music, alluring visuality
and electrifying performances, UNINVITED GUEST
storm the UK alternative scene in 2005 with
their critically acclaimed self-produced debut
album "Faith In Oblivion".
Three years in the making, the resulting opus
quickly becomes known for its eclectic blend of
a gothic, glam, industrial rock sound - diverse
throughout, but with a recurrent dramatic edge,
signified by strong rhythmic guitars, slick
electronics and orchestration and an
extraordinary voice that instantly sites the
bands uniqueness.
Then a four piece
comprising Dean Hathaway (vocals), Lucas Swann
(keyboards and programming), Shaun Cope (guitar)
and Robert Baker (bass), UNINVITED GUEST back
their debut release with live shows across the
country. Among these appearances the band takes
to the stage at some of UK's most high profile
gothic festivals such as Beyond The Veil (Leeds)
in 2005 and 2006, Gotham (London) in 2006, and
the prestigious Whitby Gothic Weekend in October
2006, the latter attracting exposure on UK
national TV channel, BBC2.
While in early
2007 their original bassist leaves, the three
remaining members continue their commitments
unabated, settling back into the studio to begin
work on their next full-lenght CD. The follow-up
album, titled "Malice In Wonderland", is now
upon us, more mature and theatrical in sound,
altogether darker in character. With the
addition of new bassist Jane Dalton (aka Miss
616, formerly the creative mind behind "Squid"
and "616 Abortions"), the band has the album and
the line-up almost certainly destined to
enrapture the alternative scene. Having secured
a praised and well-established name in the UK,
UNINVITED GUEST sign with MADDENING MEDIA in
2008.
A band that knows how to entertain the eyes as
well as the ears ... whack-up the volume and
ENJOY!
