ABSTRACT RAPTURE are founded in May 2001 by Drittt, Nol, Steve E. and Steve R. After 9 months of songwriting, they play first gigs in Luxembourg and the nearby surroundings.

Two years later ABSTRACT RAPTURE start recording their first demo called "Asphyxiation". Despite the unsatisfactory sound, the CD is received with open arms and sells good.

In July 2005 ABSTRACT RAPTURE enter the TidalWave-studios in Karlsruhe, Germany to record their EP "Dead End Entry" which is released at the end of that year and which satisfies the thirst of an impatiently awaiting crowd of metalheads.

In March 2007, ABSTRACT RAPTURE win the "Wacken Metal Battle" in Luxembourg which lets them head to Wacken in August 2007 to make the metal world experience their unique wall of massive metal sound.

Still in August, ABSTRACT RAPTURE hook up with MADDENING MEDIA who straightly send them to the TidalWave studios to record the full-length album "Democadencia". The release in March 2008 marks the beginning of a new era in thrash metal..
